Reviving Ceremony
An ongoing experimental practice in reclamation and co-creation
Release
A non-verbal ceremony for acknowledging and releasing thoughts, experiences, and emotions from the mind & body.
For all who were forced off their homelands, or kicked out of their places of collective worship. For those who feel trapped in the cages of modern domestication, disconnected from their place within the local ecosystem. For all who miss their Earth family. For all who hear whispers in the woods: "come home"
This ceremony took place on land and waterways stewarded for generations by indigenous peoples and nations, including Mohegan, Mashantucket Pequot, Eastern Pequot, Schaghticoke, Golden Hill Paugussett, Niantic, and the Quinnipiac and other Algonquian speaking peoples. We honor and respect the enduring relationship that exists between these peoples and nations and this land. We commit to ongoing advocacy for the sovereignty and preservation of these nations’ rights and freedom, and to align ourselves with ongoing concerns and legislative priorities. We commit to building relationship with Earth family, and stewarding these sacred spaces with reverence, humility, respect, deep listening, care, and love.
